Help desk

A shared inbox for your small team

Customers write to one email address. Your team reads the mail together, assigns it, adds private notes, and answers from the same place. No more “who replied to this?”.

Open your inbox

Free while in beta. You sign in with your email account.

How it works

  1. Sign in and start a team. Choose a name and an address, for example support@help-desk.utilarium.app.
  2. Give customers the address, or forward your own help@ mail to it. Each mail becomes a ticket.
  3. Your team opens the ticket, writes a reply, and sends it. The customer gets an email from the address of your team.
  4. The customer answers the email. The answer goes into the same ticket. Mark the ticket as done when it is finished.

Use the address you have

You do not need to change the address on your site. Forward the mail of your own help@ address to the address of your team, for example support@help-desk.utilarium.app. Every mail you forward becomes a ticket. Your team answers in Help desk, and the customer sees a normal email reply.

Questions

What is Help desk?

Help desk is a shared inbox for a small team. Customers write to one email address. Your team reads the mail together, answers it, and keeps track of what is open and what is done.

Can I use my own help@ address?

Yes. Set up forwarding in your mail provider, from your own address to the address of your team, for example support@help-desk.utilarium.app. Customers keep writing to your address. Your reply goes out from the address of your team, and the answer of the customer comes back to the same ticket.

What does it cost?

It is free while it is in beta. There is no billing and no card. We will tell you before that changes.

How many teams and members can I have?

You can own 3 teams. A team can have 5 members, you included. The owner invites a person by email address. The person signs in with that address and joins the team.

What happens to attachments?

Attachments are not kept. The ticket says how many attachments the mail had. The text of the mail is kept. A mail bigger than 5 MB is refused.

Is there live chat?

No. The chat box makes a ticket from a message, and you answer by email. This keeps the tool small and the answers in one place.

Do you keep my customers’ mail?

Yes. Your tickets are the product, so the text of each mail, your replies and your notes are stored. Only your team can read them. You can delete a ticket, or the whole team, at any time. Read the privacy page for the details.
